Level 3 Page Speed Tool Instructions
The Level 3 Page Speed Tool is used to compare your website's loading speed against those of competitors and your industry. To start, simply enter your website URL (www.example.com). Most people choose to test their website home page, but you may use any page you want provided it is accessible to the public.
Entering a single website and running the test will load a video showing your website loading in real-time, and it will provide some statistics on the speed and optimization possibilities of your site.
Head-to-Head Comparison
To compare against another website, simply enter both your website and the comparison website URLs. Running the tool will show both sites loading at the same time so you can see exactly what a visitor would see when visiting one site or the other.
Industry Benchmarking
Level 3 has compiled a list of the average load times for various industries. To see how your website stacks up against similar websites, simply choose your industry from the list.
Keeping Track of Results
The only thing better than checking your results once is to see how your site performs over time. To send yourself a copy of the report immediately, click the "Email These Results" button. To see the results over time, choose "Email Me These Results Every Month". The Page Speed Tool will automatically retest your selected website(s) and will send you a link to view the results.

Troubleshooting
Note that depending upon the speed of your website and the number of tests being run by other users, the tool may need several minutes to complete your tests.
If your test video does not display as expected, please make sure your website is currently accessible to the public. The tool cannot log into private websites.
